Vittoria Fiumi BIOGRAPHY

Vittoria Fiumi (Bologna, 1980) is an Italian director with a degree in Visual Anthropology from the University of Manchester (UK).  She produced and directed two documentary two other short films: Peaceful Place and All of a sudden it was dark. Her latest film «Il mondo di Nermina» was selected at Visions du Rèel in Nyon in 2014 in competition and subsequently presented at the Locarno Film Festival and at the Trieste Film Festival in 2015. The film arrived as a finalist for the Solinas Prize, a prize for writing for cinema and received the Corso Salani Award. Produced by the Plinio Association, Fiumi Film (Vittoria Fiumi) and Tama Film (Flavia Oertwig) is an Italian and Swiss co-production with the support of the Bologna Film Library, Film für Eine Welt and the Film Commission Baden-Württemberg. In 2014, Vittoria was selected at the Filmmaker Academy of the Locarno Film Festival as a young emerging director, and with her new project 3VolteMe she obtained the Nipkow scholarship.
